Flamingo Neighborhood Meeting Notice
The Flamingo Park Neighborhood Association will meet on Monday, January 11, 2010, at The Seymour, 945 Pennsylvania Avenue. All residents of the Neighborhood are invited to attend and participate.
At 5pm – a special resource team will present the kinds of solutions that can be developed to enhance pedestrian safety in the neighborhood – Engineering, Education, Enforcement and Encouragement. The panel will include personnel from the City of Miami Beach Planning Department, Transportation Division and Police Department, the Miami-Dade Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator, and University of Miami SafeWalk project staff.
Throughout the month of January we are collecting information about the issues and concerns that hamper walking in the neighborhood. We encourage the participation of residents of the Flamingo Park Neighborhood in conducting the survey and at our monthly meetings. The survey can be accessed through the following link: http://flamingomb.org/WalkaboutPedestrianSafetySurvey.doc
At 6pm – the General Meeting will feature the newly elected City of Miami Beach Commissioner Jorge Exposito as our invited guest. Discussion will include presentation of power point images of the South Pointe streetscape in order to learn lessons from the project. We will overview important priorities of the Association for the coming year.

fpna should invade the residential area north of 17th street (michigan, jefferson, etc.). we could do this at night with the assistance of officer doty. once they surrender, we can make them part of our neighborhood. they have nice houses.
