AGENDA


We have added to the agenda a brief presentation by Parks and Recreation Director, Kevin Smith, of the current plan to use the grant funds for improvements to the tot-lot playground, add a specialty boulder climbing installation, resurface the basketball courts and replace the chain link perimeter fencing around the tot-lot with 4’ picket fencing to match recently installed much improved fencing elsewhere in the park.

3. Flamingo Park – Tot-lot / Playground Improvements -- Kevin Smith, Director

As an alternative to the skate park program we are planning to make improvements to the tot-lot/playground and resurface the 2 basketball courts. The playground improvements include the installation of playground climbing boulders (please see the attached photo entitled ;adventruescape), safety surface (fiber mulch as is currently being used in the park and is shown in the photo), replace the existing chain link fence surrounding the playground with a 4’ aluminum picket fence to match the park’s exterior aluminum fence and resurface the 2 basketball courts. Per the requirement of the FRDAP grant, these improvements will be completed on or before April 30, 2011.
